Isagenix – My 30 Day Cleanse Update

Last week I finished my 30 Day Isagenix Cleanse, but was so ridiculously busy, I didn’t get a chance to share my final results and overall feelings about the system.

So, let’s look back at the reasons why I chose to do this cleanse and whether or not my needs were met. I was hoping to…

improve my energy level
o This is a definite! I have more energy from the moment I wake up till the moment I go to bed. And not only that, my energy is much more consistent. I have energy all day long, and even throughout my workouts. It’s awesome!

improve my sleep quality
o I am sleeping amazingly! I fall asleep quickly and stay asleep all night. Even on the rare occasion when I was up with one of the kids in the night, I had no problems falling right back to sleep – which is a huge improvement – I use to have so much trouble falling back to sleep and would often by up reading for hours.

decrease my stress level
o Things were super busy for me during the 30 days I did the cleanse, and I actually had a few HUGE family things come up, but I can honestly say I didn’t stress over things. On one particular occasion, I started to feel some anxiety building, but a downed a shot of Ionix Supreme and within about a half hour, it was gone. Man I love that stuff!

kick my sugar addiction
o This is the main reason why I did the cleanse, and I am so happy to have actually kicked my sugar addiction. I have on occasion had a few pieces of candy, but for me to actually walk away from the candy after only a couple of pieces is ah-mazing! The odd time that I did feel like having something sweet, I grabbed an Isadelight and was totally satisfied. Unfortunately I only found out last week that it’s best to take a small bite of the Isadelight and let it melt on your tongue. Let me just say, it is even more satisfying that way! Who would have thought that that little chocolate could actually last 20 minutes!!

improve my digestion
o Without going into too much detail here, I am happy to say I am much more regular and feeling lighter!

build and tone my muscles
o This was another one of the main reasons I chose to do the cleanse. I wanted to get leaner and improve my strength. I am happy to say that not only did I lose 5 pounds and just over 8 inches, but my percent body fat dropped 3.5 %! WooHoo!

• And, on top of all of that…

o I have pretty much been headache free for the last 37 days. I actually had 2 over the month, one of which came on rather quickly after eating a handful of juju’s, and the other im pretty sure was due to going too long without a snack/meal. I am so glad that my body no needs the sugar and the fact that eating it triggered a headache for me, makes me not want to eat it even more!

So, that’s pretty much it! I’m lighter, leaner and cleaner after doing this 30 Day Cleanse. I totally love Isagenix and completely recommend it to anyone who is looking to improve their health!

Three Things Thursday!

Happy Thursday everyone! I’ve got a ton of stuff left to do tonight so this one is going to be short and sweet!

1. I’m 11 days into my 30 day Isagenix cleanse and I’m feeling awesome! I have had the occasional slip up, but for the most part, it has been pretty easy to stick to. Yesterday was cleanse day 2 and it was so much easier than my first cleanse day! I’m feeling healthier, fresher, lighter and leaner already! And I can’t believe I’m going to say this, but I no longer hate the taste of the Ionix Supreme!

2. Tomorrow I am going to a meeting instead of work 🙂 I’m part of the organizing committee for the OFSAA Coaching Symposium, which is a conference held bi-annually for High School Teacher-Coaches across Ontario. I think this will be my 3rd year on the committee and I’m super excited to see my fellow committee members. I’m most excited to be car pooling with my friend Shannon – we used to work together and hang out quite a bit, but now that we have both switched schools and have young kids, we don’t get to see each other as often.

3. After my meeting tomorrow, I’m off for a weekend hockey tournament with my Corona Crusher girls! I have only played one game of pick-up hockey since going to this tournament last year, which was the first time I had played since having my son Tanner the previous January! Thankfully we don’t go for the hockey! Its all about hanging out, having fun, and getting a little exercise while we’re at it! My magic bullet is pack and ready to make my 2 smoothies a day, I have healthy snacks and hope to at least partially stick to my cleanse. The case of Corona I’ve also packed isn’t going to help with that, but hey, I’m not going to worry about it! Its a weekend away with my besties and I’m going to enjoy it! Here’s a picture of us last year – sweet uni’s eh?

Three (+1) Things Thursday – Isagenix Update

So, I’m on day 4 of the 30 day Isagenix Cleanse and…

1. I’m feeling awesome! I have not had a headache since I started, I’m falling asleep easy and staying asleep, and apart from Day 1, my energy has been great!

2. Yesterday was my first Cleanse Day. It wasn’t as bad as I had anticipated. I’m not so good at not eating so I wasn’t quite sure how I would make it through the day without at least one solid meal. But, it really wasn’t that difficult. There were a few points throughout the day where I was hungry, but it was either time for the Cleanse drink or a snack, so my hunger didn’t last long.

And get a hold of this… while putting together Easter treat bags for my kids to take to daycare, I didn’t even have one treat! Seriously, if you know me at all, you probably won’t believe it, but it’s true! I may actually be developing my weakest muscle!

3. I hate the taste of the Ionix Supreme, but other than that, stuff tastes pretty good! I’ve had both the chocolate and vanilla shakes, the IsaSnacks, and the IsaDelights. I have yet to try any of the bars sample bars sent with my order, but, I’ve heard they’re pretty good 🙂

4. I’m going to be doing a double workout at the gym tonight – BodyShred and BodyAttack. I will be eating my dinner beforehand, so I’m thinking I should have enough energy to go full on in both classes. This will be my first intense workout since starting the cleanse – I will let you know how it goes.

Anyone tried Isagenix?

What about GoodLife’s newest group ex program – Gillian Michael’s BodyShred?

I’d love to hear about your experience!

Happy Easter everyone! Enjoy the long weekend!

30 Days to a (C)Leaner Me

So, as I mentioned Friday, I had a plan to help me out of my little funk.

I have a plan to improve my energy level.
I have a plan to improve my sleep quality.
I have a plan to help decrease my stress level.
I have a plan to help me kick my sugar addiction.
I have a plan to improve my digestion.
I have a plan to help build and tone my muscles.

So now you must be wondering…What’s the plan?

Well, tomorrow I will be starting the Isagenix 30 Day Cleanse and Fat Burning System.

Ever heard of it?

Isagenix is a brand of health and wellness supplements that center around the concept of nutritional cleansing. Their products help your body cleanse itself of impurities and toxins, but then it replenishes and floods your body with good nutrients that allows your body to rebuild healthy cells.

Specifically the 30 Day System is made up of 26 Shake Days and 4 Cleanse Days. It is recommended to have 1 cleanse day per week. They’ve provided a schedule for each of the days to help with timing of meals and snacks, they are set up like this:

I will be having shakes for breakfast and lunch and enjoying my 400-600 calorie meal as my dinner.

I am super excited to get stated on this program. I’ve been feeling so run down and blah lately that I’m looking forward to clearing my body of all the toxins and feeling energized! I’ve never done a cleanse before and am a little nervous about being able to last a full day without eating. But, after speaking with my coach about the snack/support options for those days, I’m feeling more confident. There are quite a few energy boosting snack options for those days, and I’ve heard the IsaDelights are delicious!

I will be sharing my Isagenix experience with you over the next 30 days so check back often and see how things are going! I may need some extra support on those cleanse days!

I’m off to firm up my calendar and set my cleanse days. Gotta sort out my workouts and plan around a weekend away with my hockey friends. Only planning for 1 meal a day is going to be super easy and make for a cheap grocery bill! Love it!

Have you tried Isagenix? What did you think?
