Friday Favourites!

Happy Friday everyone!

And what better way to kick off the weekend then sharing with you some of my favourite things…

Welcome to the first edition of Friday Favourites, a weekly blog about some of my favourite things.

This week I will share with you one of my favourite Running Apps – Runkeeper.

Runkeeper is an app available for use on your iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad and is designed to track your runs, walks, and bike rides using the GPS in your phone. It can also track workouts on a elliptical and treadmill, skiing, snowboarding, swimming, skating.

I LOVE this app!

  • It gives you a ton of info up-to-date including your pace, distance, and time.

I also just found out that it will recognize my Garmin 410 heart rate monitor – I will definitely be giving that a try in the near future.

Overall, I think Runkeeper is a pretty awesome app! It provides you with every piece of information you could possibly want to know about your workout. It’s super easy to use and the best part is…it’s FREE!

Do you use Runkeeper?

  1. I’m going to check this out! I love apps 🙂 Thanks for sharing…

  2. Sounds like a really good app.. too bad it isn’t available on Android. I use MapMyRun and it’s pretty good too, but I find if I have it running, plus have music playing, my phone battery drains quicker. I don’t think my phone would last a long run.

  3. i’m going to have to take a closer look at it. those are some pretty cool screen shots. so much info!

  4. Love Runkeeper! I think it’s my favorite app for sure. I also love checking and comparing all my stats. And I LOVE that I have my half marathon training program built right into the app. I know what run I’m doing on what day and it calls out to me during the run for my intervals etc.

  5. I didn’t realize run keeper had the training plans. I simply use it to log our hikes and walks because I don’t typically play them out. I don’t run, but it has one of the easiest interfaces and best GPS locators available for walks.
