The Meaning Behind Your Blog Name – August Writing Challenge #25

Today’s Blogger Challenge questions is: What’s the meaning behind your blog name?.

This is an easy one….

I named my blog Happier, Healthier, More Fit Me because I wanted to blog about my journey towards a happier, healthier, more fit version of myself.

I’m glad I chose this name for a few reasons….

The name will never not be applicable…I will always strive for a life full of happiness, better health and improved fitness.

The name does not limit me in any way about what I can write about – I can write about what I eat, what I do, fun with my family and friends, ups, downs, successes, failures…whatever…:)

Things I don’t love about my blog name…

Really, there is only one….it’s pretty friggen long, but at least I’ve made it a .com (instead of .wordpress.com) to save you typing a few letters 🙂 Don’t like to type? Why not subscribe…I’ll send you posts via email! Yep it’s that easy!

How Have You Changed in the Last 2 Years? – August Writing Challenge #4

Surprisingly, not much has changed in my life over the past two years. Some BIG things have happened, but life is very much the same…

Two years ago..

I was on maternity leave from my job as a high school Health and Physical Education teacher with my almost 6 month old daughter, I was doing the final preparations for my upcoming destination wedding (I got married in Mexico in November 2010), we had just moved into our current home (back to the town where I had lived 5 years previous), and I rejoined GoodLife Fitness Clubs and got back into group exercise.

Today…

I am happily married

I have two beautiful children – ages (almost) 2.5 and (almost) 7 months – I am on maternity leave again!

And, I am training to become a BodyAttack Instructor to work at GoodLife Fitness Clubs.

Motivational Monday! Personal Growth

This past weekend I took my Les Mills BodyAttack Training to become an instructor at GoodLife Fitness Clubs.

If you are not familiar with BodyAttack, check out this video and see what it’s all about.

The training weekend was totally awesome! It was both physically and mentally demanding, but at the same time very rewarding. Over the two days, I learned a few things about myself…

1. I can push through the pain to achieve my goals.

2. I can overcome my fears to achieve my goals.

3. I can work hard to reach my goals.
